hi if any help received greatly appreciated.... i have no reversing lights, put in to gear, ignition on..... nothing!!! cleaned the terminals on the gearbox traced the wires to the engine bay fuse is ok! traced the wires around to the lights but nowt not even a flicker!!! its baffled me good style......please help obi wan your my only hope 

is wishing he had the nerve to tell his parents he got inked!!!! im 32 for god sake

Petty sure the reversing lights are earthed at the rear of the van, switched in the +ve feed by the switch in the gearbox.
I'm assuming the bulbs are OK, check the contacts in the bulb holder are clean and springy enough to touch the base of th bulb.
Check 12V at the switch,
after that ........ replace the switch.

Haynes diagram shows........
Supply is from fuse S15 (which also supplies the horn push) to the gearbox switch (Black/grey wire input)
From the switch (Black/blue wire output) to the bulb holders.
The earth points for the bulb holders are shared with those for the tail and brake lights.

Fastest way to test and fix electrical stuff. Stick the probe on the contacts and the light shows if it is live or earth, it then allows you to make anything live or earth at the flick of a switch to test.
Every van owner needs one as they are so sinple to use.
