Firstly in case it make any difference. It's a 1980 1600ct

Got a fail for it's MOT for steering column top bearing excessively worn.
It does have a lot of movement/knocking. So I've taken off steering wheel and removed the steering lock housing where this bearing is.
Question is, what do I need to get? A new housing complete or can the
bearing be removed and a replacement purchased.
Also where from and how quick etc.
Whilst looking at this I notice that the 2 rubber things on the upper column safety coupling bit look like they are past there best as does the main coupling under the lower column boot.
Hope this makes sense and I appreciate your help with this and any further advice whilst doing this area.
Thanks
