Recently managed to loose a exhaust manifold stud whilst on the way back from holidays...!
Have visted the local VW van centre and matched the parts on the computer, namley the 8mm stud, deep washer and a nut.
Unfortunatley the studs provided are too short and the washers look like standard washers.
My van is fitted with an AAZ block but I understand that the turbo manifold for which I need these new studs for is straight from the 1.6TD JX.
If anybody knows where I can order the correct bits from please let me know, hopefully it will be easier than trying to source them with VW.
Many Thanks

I used to buy them from VW, they do have them.
Only source I have found for the washers is VW, the big fat stainless ones, thems special see, they let the manifold expand with heat.
Self locking nuts with 12mm heads aren't the easiest things to find but they are out there.
Personally I would try VW again.

Oh, you maybe better asking for them for a MKII Golf AAZ rather than a type 2, when you say type 2 to a main dealer it strikes the fear of, well, a big scarey thing into them, they usually just use the easiest escape tactic in the book and say they don't do commercials, plus if you look at ETKA for said parts it's easy to select the wrong ones.
AAZ Golf you can't get it wrong.
