Swivel Seats

Post by Bogwoppit »

Where would be the best place to get a couple of swivel seat bases that are easy to fit?

No sites? Only found one on fleabay and don't get to many shows due to other commitments...

Swivel Seats

Post by bideford »

My camper had some awful racing seats fitted. I removed them to replace the original seats only to find that the bottom half of the original swivel plates were welded to the original runners (Autohomes conversion) - new runners had been bolted to these plates. I managed to find the remaining two pieces to both plates from Frank at VWBusparts (frank@vwbusparts.freeserve.co.uk) who correctly identified them as original VW Westfalia swivels. Took me an hour to fit them both.

I would speak to Frank and get two of these swivels as they easily weld in place on the original runners.

SWIVEL SEAT BASE

Post by gsmoke »

I got mine from here http://www.bluebird-type2.co.uk/
Very good quality and quick delivery.
They have gone up in price since I got mine, but having one is well worth it. My van feels twice the size when camping.
