springs for my roof

Post by el sketcho »

Hello new to all this, just brought a holdsworth with a pop top (not the solid sided one). Does anyone know where I can get replacement springs for the roof as it doesn't seem to sty fully extended? At the moment I'm using some wood bantons to hold it fully up.

Are they springs or more like thin, long shock absorbers, bigger versions of what hold your tailgate up, if so there is a thread on here somewhere where people have been getting them a lot cheaper, use the search facility at the top of the page, think they are called gas strutts (maybe)

Cheers for the reply. No they are definitely springs. They run inside the metal pole that holds the roof up.
