Got it going again today so thanks for everyone's help.
Turned out just to need the fuel filter replacing which I did last night but I'd couldn't test as the battery had died (had been on recharge). New battery today from my trusty mechanic and its worked. Yeepie.
Off to get a spare filter...but there'll be gear box and camper questions to come...
Simple problem but well chuffed as I'm not that good mechanically. Thanks.
