Westy Gas take off point ?

Have a Westy with underslung gas tank which has a regulator which looks like this :

The red cap to the lower left of the picture pops off to reveal what looks like a connection point. Is this a gas take off point?

It would be good to run an external gas ring off this for when the weather is too good to cook inside.

Anyone in the know about the way this set up works ?

Yes, it`s a gas takeoff, for BBQ etc. You can get a quick-coupler to fit it, I got one from BES online fittings and pipes etc.

point at "lpg and oil" then "cocks,taps and fittings" in the drop-down list, and it`s item near the bottom "Quick Release Coupling", you`ll need the male part to fit your tank fitting. Cheap as chips, buy 2

Jewlee, you still got the raving must haves? whats the good of a gas tank without a syncro to sling it under ?
