gear trouble!!!!

Hi there whenever i go to change gear on my 1981 T25 it makes an awe full squeaking noise, but only when shifting into the gears not when moving the gear stick horizontally.
any ideas!

where's the noise coming from... front or back

the noise is coming from sort of the front... about where you would find the back of the hand brake!

Centre bush dry, needs greasing up... its a pain to get to as above the tank.. some spray type grease or even waxoyl can be made to fire accross to it if you aim well..
