Gas tank check

Post by mwheatley »

Can anyone tell me how often you need to get the gas tank that supplies the cooker etc checked for safety? I notice on some of the German paperwork I received with the van that it gets checked every couple of years (?) over there, and it seems the last time mine was checked in Germany was 2005, I think.

gas check

Hi, I'm slowly putting our van in order for the summer (wherever it's gone!). I got a local mobile caravan guy who came to the house and pressure tested the system. I had no documentation. I think if you are in any doubt (it sounds like you haven't had it long) I'd get it tested. better than blowing yourself sky high. Cost me #45 for cash but I was quoted between #75 and 130 by other "specialists" so shop around!
