COOLING SYSTEM

Post by cruiseyboy »

Hey folks. I need some advice on my cooling system on my 1985, 1900cc Watercooled Van. If the van is moving and warm then it is fine. If however it is stationary (and warm) and I put the blower on to keep warm, the air very quickly blows cold. Also, if I leave the engine running for a long period whilst stationary, the engine starts to overheat even though the anti-freeze/coolant levels are topped up. Is this just the norm? Can anyone help explain why?

Cheers. Al

Have you tried bleeding the system. There should be instructions how to do this on the WIKI.

Cheers,
Sam.

WIKI?
Avert your eyes upwards to the sticky anouncements at the top of the technical page, or the link to WIKI even higher up the page, and all will become clear.
Cheers,
Sam.
