Stone Chip paint where to get ?

Post by Stefvan »

My van has been painted with some sort of hard rubbery undercoat around the bottom 10 inches which is a dimple finish. I have had a small spot of welding done through some of the undercoat and can't figure out how to blend the repair in with the rest. I was told it's stone chip paint, is there a brand to look for ? It has to be over paintable.

UPOL do a brushing plastic underseal in cans, your local motor factor may carry it. For repairing small areas of underseal, PU sealer in a tube is quite good, eg. Tiger seal.
