they will last if you look after them

Post by Ye Olde Syncrospares »

one of my customers who is a bee keeper bought a syncro td panel van new in 88,he has done every mile on the van in its life, and drives it off road every day going about his bee keeping, the body of the van is nearly perfect with virtually no rust, and theres only one small blemish on one seam brought on by spraying iodine in between feilds in foot n mouth times,at 305,000 miles we fitted a genuine new complete jx motor (£4,500) although it still started ok but oil consumption was high, had it back in recently for a service 357,000 and a check over,in its life its had 3 clutch kits 3 batteries a starter motor and a complete exhaust systym, the transmission,vc,cv joints, prop shaft, are all original and in excellant working order, just goes to shows what can be acheived,cj.
bought some real off roaders!!!!!!!

I expect this is why it's lasted so well, no? Unfortunately most Syncro owners probably do a lot more on-road than off-road driving.
