hi
got new set of shocks for van.might not feel like a boat now
any tips for fitting?
i think i read here that rear were easiest with no need to jack up ?
so ill start there.
any suggestions welcome

undo the bolts.
remove damper.
refit damper.
tighten bolts.

You will need to jack up your van and remove the wheel unless you want to make a fairly easy job more difficult.. Make sure you jack the van high enough to be able to remove the shock abs down through the bottom wishbone and remember you must place an axle stand under the bottom wishbone and let the van down slightly onto this to compress the coil spring a wee bit. Have you soaked your top nuts in WD40 ? they are usually rusted on and sometimes its quicker to run an electric saw straight through the nut and or the shocker shaft. Just one more thing that a lot of peeps forget, make sure you hold your new shocker upright and slide it up and down through its full stroke a few times, this sort of primes the system and removes any air thats trapped due to being stored on its side.
