Is the 1.6td beyond repair ? I recently converted to a 1Y 1.9n you can swop your sump over blank off the turbo return pipe inlet on it.Or exchange for a 1.6n as its sought after for AAZ conversion.Fit the 1.6td oil pump with is pick up.Manifolds inlet&exhaust down pipe +exhaust 1.6n.On my conversion i used the 1Y exhaust manifold and fabricated the 1.6td down pipe from it to the 1.6td exhaust pipe& used a 1.6n inlet manifold +airbox.Use the 1.6td flywheel&clutch fit a spigot bearing to the crankshaft for the gearbox input shaft .AAZ going to be easier as you have nearly a sraight swop of 1.6td parts to it.

If the turbo on your 1.6td is worn or other issues a conversion to AAZ is going to need these parts. You could use the AAZ turbo but its in a diffrent position as to cause clearance on the engine mount issues.Find out what is wrong with the 1.6td and read up on the wiki on the forums there is a lot of information as to a solution.
