After reading my last post on the horrendous noises my engine was making from deep inside Laurie realizing it was one of his engines came to have a look .
Well and truly out of guarantee by the way
Laurie quickly diagnosed a broken fan hub which was replaced later by Laurie with the engine in using a tool made for the job .
Engine now is as good as new
Good service eh !
I know i should have spotted a bust fan hub but i dont have years of experiance . would have saved me from AA relay all the way from Glasgow to Leeds [ 8 hours] Ho Hum
Laurie Pettit Is a good Guy. Its a fare distance for him to Leeds & back to check on one of his old engines

Hi Groovie - glad the fan hub helped you out (it was me you got it from - if that's the one you ended up using!).
You might be pleased to hear I got a new pair of heater control cables and reconnected all the hoses, and you were spot on about the front leak being caused by the windscreen rubber - replaced and nicely sealed now!
