Loads of newbie questions

Post by I-want-one »

Hello all ,
I have been looking at Syncros from a far for some time and now is the time to do some research.
what im after is a syncro suitable for a morocco or tunisia trip , theres no rush but it helps to know whats out there .
Having looked at loads of sites the spec is turbo diesel , van body , sixteen inch .
Being a big fan of ex-military vehicles I own a Norwegian army soft top G Wagen ,
Anyway there seems to be loads of 14 inch military turbo diesels in Austria ,but no 16 inch ?
But there 16 inch Finnish army petrol models , what sort of MPG can you expect from the petrol Syncros ?
The main reason im looking at Military modal is the low milage and service history .
If I go for a 14inch turbo diesel what modiforcations can be done to raise ground clearence ? plus what needs upgrading for a desert trip ?.
working on the threoy that a lot more 14s were made that 16s .

can anyone give me the details of dealers in Finland ,Sweden , Germany , etc :D
Thanks in advance
