Bypass Cut Off Valve

Post by Dubstar »

Just put a new (secondhand) engine in and I noticed the by pass cut off valve on the left hand carb is missing, replaced by a bolt to blank it off. The bolt has made the hole too big to put a valve in off my other carbs, so is it majorley important, or should I be ok for a while 'till I can swap the carbs over to one with the valve in place?
2ltr Aircooled CU engine and Solex carbs by the way.
Thanks
Shane
