Brake pipes and exhaust systems seem to be exempt from swedish mots
On a serious note-check the obvious eg brake fluid, engine oil, coolant level etc and drive it steady, until at least a tow distance from home. I have heard that adac do good european breakdown cover.
Good luck
Pete.
Ps looks a straight van.

Hiya,

I don't think the AA will recover a vehicle on non UK plates, that's what they told me anyway....

ADAC seem to be the dogs proverbials...

Yeah.ADAC Europe wide cover for about 80 Euros is better.AA /RAC wouldn't touch this when I fetched mine from Germany last year.Feel free to get in touch with me if you would like help contacting them-they don't communicate much in English!!
Good luck with the purchase.Be interesting to know how you get on buying from Sweden since a friend is also considering it but is a bit put off by the costs involved.

Hi,

Yes, thats right , swedish MOT doent bother about brakelines...we hardly have to brake anyway on these empty roads
But mostly brakelines are the least you have to think about with the swedish vans 8) 8)

Hi Russel

Called in today but you were out. Well officially I suffered fuel contamination which cause the pressure pump to fail.
