We use a lightwight single size duvet to lie on and a double medium tog on top. But we have made up our own duvet covers (well, 'er indoors has). One side of the duvet covers are cotton sheets, and the other sides are flannelette sheets. So we have a cool side, and if it's a little chillier we can use the snuggly flannelette side!! Us pensioners feel the cold you know.

We used to use a duvet when camping - never used a sleeping bag - so it's a double duvet all the way for us in our Westy. In fact, we use the one from home, no seperate one for us, and the kids use their singles up in the pop top.

A cheap Woolies single sleeping bag - unzipped all round on the bottom, then a double duvet on top - cosy...............

Same as, but i always have a couple of large blankets just in case it gets a bit chilly. The kids use them to wrap up in when theyre sitting outside and it's not quite so warm.
There will be another problem next week.
But hey ho i've got a camper

Thanks for the replies. The main message seems to be to buy a standard double sized bed duvet and forget the sleeping bags. Will follow this advise and invest in a snap together 4.5 tog and a 9.5 tog double duvet.

Comfy nights here we come!

Double duvet. Get a feather filled one and it squashes down small for storage. TK Maxx sell cheap(ish) ones.

We use a single duvet on the bottom which is just the right size and a double on top. However as I'm always too hot and he's always too cold think we may resort to two singles for our next trip!

Duvets are the future.

We got a 13.5 tog from Asda, and kept us warm, it was that cold we woke up there was frost inside the windows.
