Are there exhaust hangers for a 2L A/C?

Big lumps of metals and spanners.

Are there exhaust hangers for a 2L A/C?

Post by ben50 »

Hi,
I have finally got around to fitting my second hand heat exchangers, and exhaust, I have got the Exchangers on no problem, but now have to wait for exhaust studs from VW to arrive to put the exhaust on. Only thing is there doesn't seem to be anywhere for the exhaust to hang from, apart from the heat exchangers, and to me this seems like it will pout too much wieght on the studs that go into the head.

Is it ok with no hangers or do I need to try find a way of supporting it?

Cheers in advance,

Ben

There is a bracket that comes down from the fan housing, they usually rot off in the first 5 years. It attaches to the right hand heat exchanger just behind the exhaust fitting nuts. I think it was not necessary.
