jx 1.6td to 1z tdi conversion questions

Post by HirMiller »

Hello

I am buying the bits to do the 1z conversion, I understand that some members livelyhoods rely on these conversions (and I apologise in advance) but I was hoping that somebody could help me with a couple of questions.

1) Can I use the original 1.6td engine mounting components on the 1z?
2) Am I correct in saying that I can use the 1z clutch pressure plate with a jx clutch plate - or have I got that wrong?

Cheers

you need a modified LH engine mount, easily available from Germany.

the clutch from memory can be a mix of 1Z and Jx,but can't rememebr which order....JX flywheel, with tdi clutch I think(and new shaft in box to match, again from same people that sell the mounts.)

Don't forget to save a fair chunk of your budget for the gearbox!, beaker on here builds them up.
