Ok, I know all about how fridge should be wired on 12V to main battery with relay etc...
Currently got my fridge out and re-doing the wiring
Firstly, I'm presuming that wire of at leat 10Amp will suffice
Secondly, On the fridge there is a little 12v unit labelled 'reignition unit' or some such, does this bit need to be run off the leisure battery so that it has constant power just in case the flame goes out?
Urgent response appreciated as need to get to the shops to buy the wire
Very quick fridge wiring question

16 amp or bigger to be safe, the fridge can draw 10 amps on start up if the temp is high........
the ignitor does indeed need a constant supply............
you also need a 20 amp relay, but 30amp would be better, running things near to or on there rating makes them die sooner, and the price will be hardly any different

20amp between the main battery and the relay for the fridge, as close to the battery connection as possible, on the feedline, and 5amp (iirc) for the ignitor, again, close to source(either control panel or leisure battery)

When it comes to relays for both splir charging and for fridges, should I go for a bog standard relay such as http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?cri ... W&DOY=23m4 or should I try and find one with a little intelligence or at least a diode going across the coil?
