Thought I would make this my first port of call as most peeps have knowledge of other VW vehicles, hope you don't mind! (Address can be supplied if I deserve a beating!)
I have recently got hold of a VW Beetle Karmann Cabriolet (1969) but need to find out what engine went into this vehicle as this one doesn't have one!
Engine codes, size etc. would be a great help.

need a gearbox....got a complete 1300 box and swing axle in the garage.
had an engine til last week, too....doh.
Now we can talk Beetle as well as Vans!!
Mines a 1970 1500......can't have a convertible the local urchins would have the roof off in seconds!
