recommend an awning

Post by powelly »

Thinking of ordering one of the Spacemaker Tunnel Awnings from just kampers £250 with a free table and chairs.

Anyone know if these are any good or do you have any recommendations.

khyam motordome classic.
Quick and easy to put up and down, stable in strong winds.

Can you see a pattern forming

depends on how much room you want I suppose. The JK one looks massive
but it also looks like it would take a while to erect

Are you people on commission or what?

The only difference between the two seems to be the size? is that right?

the motordome can be put up in 5 mins as it uses the quick erect system. All the poles stay attached to the canvas so you just click it all in place then peg out. No head scratching, what goes where etc. It really is quick.

We used have a gelert vario 5 tunnel tent (v.big) and after putting it up and down in breezy conditions I vowed never to have a tunnel tent set up again. Now saying all this I have never tried to put up a JK awning. Hopefully someone else will come along to tell you about that. I LOVE our motordome. Anything that means I get to open the cider quicker gets my vote.

also, my auntie had the old JK Tunnel tent. it was massive and pretty good once up, although it now leaks. Think they'd got lucky almost every time they'd used it as it hardly really got wet. Then when the downpours came last summer it was like sitting in a colander! They would never buy one again... seams were crap

there was more room in the tunnel awning.but we can manage with less space..
