Dropping my Engine

Post by Therunner »

I'm back! :P

Just when you thought it was safe to look in the tech section!

just one quick question to start with;

looking to lower the engine onto a sheet of ply and slide it out from under the bus. I was trying to get all the tinware off so as not to bend it, but as usual a few of the screw/bolts are being a bit stubborn! Can I tie onto the intake manfold? It should only be bearing any weight for a short while but obviously I don't want to damage it!

Cheers

You will find it easier to drop the whole thing including tin wear rather than trying to dismantle it piece by piece....

Regards

Fritz,,,,,,,,

PS, you could just lower it out with a decent jack /a pice of wood to support the underside of the engine,,,,,,Oh yes and a touch with it from a mate,, :D
