Throttle cable length

Post by sln123 »

Trying to order a spare throttle cable for my bus (1990 Westy 2.1L petrol LHD) from my local VW van centre. They are listing 2 lengths for a LHD 2.1L petrol engine; 3,724mm and 3,610 mm. I wondered if anyone knew which was the correct length for my bus as the are £17 each so I don't want to buy both. Cheers Steve

Get the longer one, then you know it`ll fit ! A bit of slack never hurt anyone, it`s all down to the routing anyway :)
Keep it real.

251 721 555 Q 3620mm is listed in ETOS as the LHD version. Annoyingly it doesn't actually say its for a 2.1 but all the others are for Diesel and 1.9 engines so by default its got to be the 2.1

3724mm is for a DG (1.9L) LHD engine
