I thought that may be the case.. I'm guessing that even a new pulley will not seat properly??
1981 Vanagon Westy Burning oil as fuel...

New pulley would fail very quickly, you probobaly also have other issues in engine as a result of this, everything runs very close, pistons and valves normally end up fighting and the valves normally win. Don't waste time or money on it, bin it.

Locked
