:( hello again every one if it's not one thing it's another whilst tinkering with the dipstick tube (on the van)try to stop aleak as it has broken , the pipe work all cams away from the block so i ask the following
1) is it meant to
2)if not how can i cure the resulting oil leak
3) is there any where to get the whole new part
4) should oil be dripping from the loop at the end of the dipstick is this just the rubber ring gone :? :? :? :?

Hiya Ermie, probably best if you go on tech qs, you might get more sensible answers there, it tends to get silly on GD :D

from mem the pipe just pushes into the block and is secured further up its length.

there should be a rubber o ring at the bottom to stop oil leaking out

just get a new o ring to stop leak if pipe seems undamaged or use PTF tape to make temp seal
