Eber and veg oil?

Post by lhd »

I would thought it would be advisable to have a separate tank for the eber but has anyone tried using a vege oil mix in one?
Only currently my eber is fed straight from my fuel tank.

Hiya mate, I get the impression it may gunge up the mesh filter with all those bits of bahji and samosa

Seriously though, they really prefer white diesel and only just 'tolerate' red ... perhaps for what it costs you might be best to stick to the real thing

See ya soon, Ian.

Rob
After talking to an Ebber prof. today , I'd say no , he even raised an eye brow after i mentioned red/green diesel to him , He was a top bloke and said that his colleague was even more knowledgeable about them .

I'm gonna mix mine 50red/50white from now on .. well until i'm skint

Its a hard call , cos bio is getting more and more popular , It should be ok because its been re-fined , give it a go , if the ebber doesnt like it would run right maybe smoke a wee bit

so there you go Rob , someone who has tried running the ebber on Bio .... You could go down the same route as Jed ,I and a few others , We use a plastic fuel can , either in the spare wheel or under the bed ... both have they plus and negative aspects of use , spare wheel is the access and under the bed is the smell ..
