Hot on the heels of my butchered thermostat is a ruined pump!
It looks like someone snapped the bolt which held it onto the block - and then drilled it out - unfortunately they went a bit too far and drilled right through into the pump chamber

Not sure if this has been responsible for any of the overheating issues or not, as during use the hole is occupied by the new bolt... and masses of sealant... I guess perhaps some sealant could have come loose and got stuck somewhere.
Anyway, now that I have the pump off, I really don't like the idea of putting it back on... A non-genuine replacement pump is 20 quid...
Anyone know what a genuine one costs, and is it worth the extra money?
