Just wanted to throw this tech question in.
I own a 1985 van 60ps 1.9 petrol engine baby. Starts fine whatever the weather and runs sweet until almost warm then cuts out. However when the engine is at running temperature there is no problem.
Any suggestions as to the fault?
Many thanx

So is it cutting out when warm? Is it cutting out when driving or when idling? Does pressing the throttle keep it alive, or does it die as though the ignition has been turned off?
If dying when warm and NOT when idlying as though the ignition is being turned off I had that problem a few months ago. Fixed it by cleaning up all the connections on the low tension cables. Seems to have fixed it.

check thermo,
to do it properly you need to remove thermostadt, get a pan of hot, near boiling , water, plonk thermo in & it should fully open. take it out, leave in freezer 5 minutes and it should close right up. if it doesnt appear to move much bin it & fit new one. dont forget to fit new gasket when you refit. regards yogi
