HELP 1Y FUEL PUMP WIRING

Post by Grumpy Midget »

After installing 1.9 1Y engine, I have fuel in the pump, however something is preventing fuel from reaching the injectors. After numerous interpretations of wiring diagrams and failed attempts, can anyone confirm what each sets of wires are, and where on a JX wiring loom they should be connected to? Observations show on the back of the pump;
1) Yellow wire from top rear of the pump.
2) Back centre of pump between 4 injector pipes; yellow/white, & green/white wires.
3) Black plastic box rear of pump; red/white & blk/white goes into a connector and leaves connector white/red & black.
4) Bottom right side of pump; brown & black.
Can someone provide instruction as to how they have overcome this problem during conversion?
Thank you in advance.....

Have you treid connecting direct to battery to get it running?

Both soleniods on pump should have a black wire.

Your wiring colours sound non standard.

Hi Andy & Ringo many thanks for the replys .
Andy I did what you told Rob when he spoke to you on the fone regarding my problem, I did connect the wire,s directly to the battery and solonoids were clicking but when turning engine over there was still no fuel getting through to the injectors, had injectors cracked so fuel would show, going to try what Kirmit said aboit removing the plastic box at the rear of pump and see whats in there, thhe wiring colours that is stated in my post is exactly as they are the engine came out of a Seat Codorba.
Regards Jeff.

Can you actually see the cut off soleniod? I did not ask Rob the immobilser question as i got the impression you could not find the correct wire on the loom to connect and not that there were multiple wires. Could you take a pic so we can see what it has.
