just a quick one how tight should the fan belt be and how d you adjust it

is it an easy job?

Did mine yesterday - 15 mins to dig my way to the engine compartment, 15 mins to find the spanners, 15 mins to do the job etc etc :lol:

Haynes says new belt 10mm play, old belt 15mm play - you could swing on mine and it squealed like a pig.

Two bolts - both 13mm one on the base of the alternator, one on the top "swing arm" - loosen both and then with a screw-driver or pry bar, tension the belt by levering the alternator - it should pivot around the lower bolt.

Haynes states - Disconnect the battery neg terminal.
