just a quick one how tight should the fan belt be and how d you adjust it
is it an easy job?

Did mine yesterday - 15 mins to dig my way to the engine compartment, 15 mins to find the spanners, 15 mins to do the job etc etc 
Haynes says new belt 10mm play, old belt 15mm play - you could swing on mine and it squealed like a pig.
Two bolts - both 13mm one on the base of the alternator, one on the top "swing arm" - loosen both and then with a screw-driver or pry bar, tension the belt by levering the alternator - it should pivot around the lower bolt.
Haynes states - Disconnect the battery neg terminal.
