Where can i get another external handle to help me push my viking roof up, the handle has snapped on mine and pushing on the clasp can be quite painful.

Whey Hey, guess what I am also in the process of finding some useable external handles and lever catches for our Viking roof.
So far I have found the best place to look is a any decent caravan outlet or alternatively B+Q or Homebase........

Don't you push them from inside, then? Would like to know as hopefully, maybe, just possibly sometime doon i will have a bright yellow viking,,,, Kinda assume it was like Ermie's - push from inside, then I have to hang onto the handle in the roof to stop it from fl;ying off!! The gas struts do all the hard work!
If I have to do it externally i best get myself a pari of stilts!!!
Let me know, as the viking roof in the garage doesn't have any external handles.....just the clips to hold it down?

Em, i have a central metal ring on the outside and use a broom handle to push this up, then the gas struts take over. I am assuming you could hook this to bring it back down too?
However to normally bring it down i use the strap on the inside, pull it down halfway then it drops slowly forcing a nice breeze out of the camper. The handles on the outside are to tuck in the pvc etc.
If i knew how to post pics i would, do you?
David
