Can someone help me please, i need to know how to check the automatic gearbox oil level, and how to top it up please, I can't seem to find it in the haynes manual!! Also can anyone tell me what the two dip sticks are for, the one at the back you get through the panel with the number plate is the engine oil I think, but there is one at the front of the engine compartment too??

Auto transmission problem
In my Haynes manual the auto box top up is in chapter 1 section 11. To check the level lift off the engine cover and the dipstick is at the front to the left hand side. Mine has a yellow collar around it. You top it, if required, through the dipstick hole. Check the level when the box is warm, after a run and on a level surface.
hope this helps sid

I Agree with Sid ... did that for mine .. also changed the sump seal and refilled this way BUT be very careful when adding oil .... If you over fill, the only way to get the oil out is to open the sump ... you have been warned .. add small amounts slowly and recheck after allowing the oil level to settle .. good to drive 5 miles / 10 mins and then re-check!
