hi there this is my first post i have a 2.0l Aircooled cu engine just wandering if you can take the heads off without taking engine out? many thanks

hi, and welcome.....
the answer you are looking for is YES.... and indeed you can, but, (isnt there always a BUT) its easier in some respects to go the what seems like thefurther way round, you can have the CU out and on the floor in 20 mins, and its a damn site easier to do the job with it out.
The tinware is often a right bugger sometimes, the screws often take a lot of persuasion to get out, some will loose there heads, some will roundout, if you can get them out easily, lets have next weeks lottery numbers!

cheers mocki, i take it i'll be able to change my push rods as well without droping engine, as they seem to be leaking a little bit to much oil now. cheers again very helpful :P
