Hi guy's...i am having a nightmare trying to source a metal thermostat housing for my 1983 1900 dg flat 4 bus...and i would appreciate any idea's from you....it has just gone throgh it's 25 th M.O.T. and now this problem

Kev,

I have just had a quick look on the vagcat online pages.
I do not know if you are familiar with the club sign in and password details, and will PM you with them, so as not to display on a public forum.

Whether the early type thermostat housing is still available I know not.
Just thought it might be a useful link to start from.

earlt tstat housing is obsolete, breakers only part, i've sold the two i had i'm afraid.

The only other things I can suggest would be to keep asking on as many VW forums / clubs as you can find, looking on the stalls at the shows (like Bus Types in April), and ebay of course.

Good luck . . . I'll keep me eyes and ears open for one as well.
