Anyone recommend a good welder in South Somerset?

Post it here, if it doesn't fit any of the above.

Anyone recommend a good welder in South Somerset?

Post by talkingwhippet »

Hi.
Just been replacing shocks on van & started prodding around rust at back of sill by trailing-arm - oh, dear!!

Now have a hole in outside pf panel & seam all way along sill, although underneath & mounting for arm seem solid enough. Presumably looking at inner sill & outer panel, wheel-arch & some filling in as well as flat bit to rear of wheel-arch.

Can anybody recommend a decent welder who does a good job & preferably not too far from Ilminster. How many hundreds of pounds am I looking at roughly (I know hard to estimate without seeing it!). Is it time to take that welding course after all??

Does anyone know if CJ at Syncro-spares does welding, as only 20-odd miles from him.

Many thanks to all - Happy Easter!! :D

Hope some of you are driving about in vans rather than lying underneath them - bought this a month ago & done about a total of 150 miles.

Excellent. I'll ring CJ on Tuesday - thanks for the heads-up!
This forum has been such a big help since I've had my van - cheers again.
