Snapped fuel pump pedistal

Post by ow75 »

Nightmare - removed my fuel pump today to replace it and when removing the pedistal the thing snapped leaving the long thin section that guides the rod stuck in the engine block, anyone else had this sh**ty luck in the past and anyone who has any idea's on how to remove it they would be gratefully recieved.

seen it happen before, we took the pushrod out ( use a good magnet if need be) and make a thinner rod with a hooky bit on the end, fish around and hook it out..... then we fixed it with arildite(sp?) two part glue as a temp fix.......
