......should i be getting?
I have fitted a dual sender and VDO gauge in order to monitor the oil pressure in my recently installed 2.1 motor, the gauge i have measures in bar rather than psi so what should it be reading?
On start up i get around 4bar which drops to around 2bar when warm and about 1bar when idling, is this ok?
Cheers.

Those figures sound fine to me. Should be ok for many more miles hopefully!

Would be worth getting a seperate check done and comparing the readings (at the same time) so as to "calibrate" your gauge and sender....
1 bar = 14.5 psi

Good point, how would i go about getting this done?
Where would the reading be taken from?

normally where the original oil light switch fits in between the pushrod tubes, (is this where you have fitted the sender? on an extension tube I presume..) a garage should be able to assist.. or maybe a member etc is near that can help out!!

That's where i fitted the new sender, i had a braided hose made up and mounted it on the bottom tinware.
Could the second sender be used for checking the pressure (the one by the pulley).
