Post by budbombpipe »

HI,i have c reg caravelle automatic. The speedo/rev clocks are broken. Im trying to find replacements but they seem expensive, will speedo etc work of any t25? im not to concerned about having a rev counter as long as oil light fuel gauge etc works. thanks

you need to find out if you clocks have a horizontal or vertical connector plug, only matching types work. you speedo is on a cable and not related to any electrics so why would that not work if the rest of the clocks are broken. also are you sure that it is not just the connector plug causing a problem?

More than likely will be faulty tracks on the blue printed circuit.

Sorry need to word this better, its the whole dash thats not working correctly, electrical parts. The blue circuit is in a bad way. The main part of the blue circuit that plugs in has snapped (the black plastic part of the pod) The actual speedo clock is the only part that i working.

The plastic tounge bit has broken off my spare set too.

Before you completely mistrust the pcb, use the bleeper on a multimeter and check the tracks I thought mine was faulty but it wasn't, you should be able to simply get a new base plate with a tounge on for the pcb. do be careful when you remove the bits from the surround the plastic goes brittle and falls to peices if you blow on it.
