Anyone installed a automatic fire extinguisher

Post it here, if it doesn't fit any of the above.

To be honest if any are interested I dont mind sticking them on the earlybay order but it will need to be fast, these items cant be sent through the post (dangerous goods) and thats pretty much the cost price rounded up to the pound the basic price direct for the AFF is £135 +15 delivery...If a few are interested then You can by al means jump in for a bargain I dont know how your gonna fit them...and It would be easier if I could get all the 80-90 ones to someone to distribute....

if any of ours are interested, i am about an hour from you, and i dont mind collecting them and getting them distributed, we have a few meets coming up, and we ahve a inbuilt courier system within the club.......

or maybe we wiat till you do it again.........

we cant fit them on the inside of the engine lid, wont work on our vans, but we can go round the lid frame, and mount the cylinder in the air intake turret infront of the tail light cluster...... on both air cooled and water cooled........

These are the babys ! I know they're expensive BUT the ones we had were 1/2 as big again and approved for the L/R Defender TD4 range underground.

Interesting to see if insurance companies would offer a discount :P

i had a fuel fire in my last Aircooled bus. be warned that a 1kg dry powder extinguisher lasts for all of 6 to 8 seconds!!!
as someone stated earlier fire it thru the inspection flap.
luckily this 1 kg extinguisher put the fire out and saved the bus. the engine lid was still burning when i took it off tho!!
