anyone got the spare wheel tank under the van? costing me a fortune as a daily driver on petrol so gonna take the plunge and get it converted but we need as much space as possible for storage. where you fitted yours?

van is a 1980 westfalia joker 2ltr pop top

Under rear seat or wardrobe are your only viable options.

We have 80ltr tank (holds about 64ltr) in our westy wardrobe. It just fits with about 40mm to spare.
88 1.9 gassed w/Westy conversion & Reimo topper

Hi

Here are some photos of a 70ltr tank fitted under the r&r bed of a 1981 Danbury. The bed had to come out and be moved forward 5cm but it's not a biggy.
