Please help broken engine mount.
I've started stripping my engine to do the head gaskets mainly but changing pumps and seals etc while it's out.
Nearly all the studs or bolts that go into main engine castings were seized solid. I'm slowly working through them all drilling them out and helicoiling where necessary.
I've hit one major stumbling block so far. This bit here is broken and looks like it was in terrible shape before it finally gave up.....

It's the cast ally engine mount that you have to remove to replace the oil pump.
Who's got one they can send me?
Engine is a 2.1 dj in a syncro 14
Rich.
Still cleaning it all up with wire wheels etc. [IMG:480:360]http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k68/r ... oto440.jpg[/img]

rich, when i took mine out for a rebuild, one of the bolts that hold the ally mount you mention to the engine, had snapped off and the hex end missing, the other bolt was loose and about to fall out!
you could see where the mount and the engine had been rubbing together for who knows how long, wearing metal away, 2 of the rubber mounts had also parted from the metal they bond to. those left hand spiral drill bits are handy for drilling out bolts if you can get hold of a set., as the bolt sometimes starts to wind itself out while you're drilling it.

i really dont know if i have got one what year it came off, i broke several vans, of varying ages, and im not sure which it came off, but as soon as i get chance i will search it out........ a picture taken looking at the rear of the mounting(From rear of van so to speak) would give a idea of which i have.... if i can find it at all.......
