Screen washer location

Ok I know this is a silly question but it has left me a bit perplexed. I'm a happy owner of 1.6dl T25 1989 vintage, called Denis, anyway we've had him six months now, have managed some painting, changed the starter motor and had him fully serviced but much to my embarrassment I haven't found the screen washer reservoir, can someone please me out. Thanks!

lifty the rubber mat in the passenger side foot well ( ok kerbside in case your a Wrong hand drive) and the washerbottle filler is there, below the fusebox

dont worry! its one of the most commonly asked questions on here!
did you know the oil filler extends out of the engine flap too?so you dont need a funnel?

Yes I discovered the oil filter, but the screen wash I looked high and low for that dam thing ! the only other niggle is the coolent lever, flashes a lot yet the quality is correct I am assuming it's the senser other than thats he's goes great if a bit slow

Don't drive the van with the coolant light flashing. It should flash for 5 seconds when you switch on ... doing a self-test.

Take the engine bay cover off. Behind the number plate flap is the 'Top up tank' and that is linked to the 'Header tank' which has a sensor in it which causes the flashing on the dashboard when the fluid level drops below the level of the sensor. IF this level is low fill it right up to the top, start the engine and watch for bubbles indicating a leak.

It is common for the sensor to fail, either due to overtightening or being a crap pattern part from GSF/JK etc

You really need to buy a manual and sharpish before something very serios occurs.

And both the Oil filler cap or the Water header tank cap are just great to wedge between the number plate flap and the bodywork to keep the flap open whilst checking levels etc.

And to make filling the oil even easier...

Get summat like a hair shampoo bottle with a longish thinnish neck ( I used a Herbal Essence one - it is so kind to my hair and - OH sorry ) - cut a "panel" out of one side and it works like a "spill proof" funnel
