Not the kind ive read on wiki or propex brocures

it has 4 screw terminals on it not the 5

the rocker switch is only on or off(2 way) not 3 way :(

ok the story goes my oldpropex is kanckered currently with propex beign modernised to latest spec  whiel talking to the man at propex i mentioned mine only had 2 wires conected to he told me should be 5 going to my thermostat
So i duly puechased 5 core wire but upon opening the thermostat have foudn it to be seemingly different to the "normal " ones

I have emailed propex man(awaiting a reply) just wondered if anyoen has this style and how i would wire it to a unit thats been moderinsed

Hi

Our Karisma has this type fitted and I've looked at the installation instructions which shows a two way / 4 terminal switched unit for the standard 1600W and a multi position switch for the 1600 / 3000W "purged air" version

Don't know too much about Propex at the moment but it mentions the purged air versions have the ability to run the fan without heating to circulate air in hot conditions

Hope this helps
Well, I really wasn't expecting that to be; bodged, broken, leaking, lost, missing, mangled, rusty, rotten, stripped, siezed - pass the Stella and it'll all be better

what's up mate?

is it bust?

it's just a switch ....on....off..

if the temp in the van is warmer than the setting you have chosen then it will switch off the propex...

Mine is the same...

there is no run on facility as you say it's a two way switch

you have an early model that's all

try moving the dial ...does it click?

if not then it's a timer type

OK well mine clicked at the surrounding air temperature.... whether it was on or off... used or not.
mine is a three wire stat but only two are used (on ...off)

no click does not sound well as mine too has died not a click to be heard.

so friend... it seems we are in the same boat

Hi
I'll try and scan the instructions if you want or pm me your address and I'll post a photocopy
Would they be of use on the Wiki :?:

Mine must be a 'purge' version. Not only can it run just as a fan if the weathers hot, but if it's run as a heater and the stat' switches the heater off 'cos the van's warm enough, a minute later it will start to run just the fan on it's own. Presumably to 'purge' the unit of built up heat as it stops after about 20 seconds or so.
