JX 1.6 TD inlet /exhaust manifolds to 1Y & oil filter

Post by camper »

If i use the JX 1.6 inlet/outlet manifolds for the 1Y engine will this cause a problem due to the shape of the ports being diffrent to the 1Y.I was thinking of damage to the engine/other.The oil filter housing bolted to the 1y block has one senser &two blanked off ports.Where as the JX has two one for the senser and the other for the turbo oil return pipe. Can i use one of the blanked off outlet ports on the 1y filter housing for the turbo return pipe.

I would not run with a JX inlet manifold but people have.

Its the oil feed which comes off oil filter housing, yes using one of the spare ports will be ok but is wrong size so new pipe will be needed.
