Ignition barrel

Post by CycloneMike »

Can anybody tell me how to release the ignition barrel from the housing please. Do I need to take the whole housing off the column or can just the lock be released? I've got the key for it.

Thanks,

Mike.

If you are asking how to remove the lock part from the steering lock housing then it's a drill a hole in the alloy case to reveal a hidden pin and punch it out allowing the lock tumbler part to be removed job, you need to refer to bentley manual. If you have a replacement ignition lock in steering lockhousing that's a pretty easy swap over, remove steering wheel undo bolts job.
