16" front outer cv joints

Post by ..lee.. »

am i right in thinking these are unique to the 16", or are they the same as the 14", or even the lt syncro.

my right front is worn and as the front suspension is all stripped down i`d like to change it now.

can they be reconditioned or is it even worth it and where to buy new at best price.

happy march everyone.

16" front outers with difflock are different to 14"
I have one left, ever.
Obsolete from VW, Discontiued from GKN and Lobro.
GKN don't have any in the UK or Germany (because I apparently bought the last ones).
One sold yesterday.
One left on the shelf.

What do you want?
Whats chronic?
Avenues are opening up left, right and centre for me at the moment.
Some fairly interesting stuff I have just found, un tapped resources if you will.

I managed to get an oil pump and rear wheel bearing here in Spain, so some parts are tucked away on shelves [they did say that the oil pump was nla!!].The big problem seems to be getting people to look and if the mecanics own T 3 or Syncros.
I dont think, so I'm not[do I exist?]

I've just ordered some TD OE style oil pumps, not arrived yet tho..
Brand new, cast pick up pipe etc, and German.

WBX ones can use Type 1 pumps as far as I know.
