Air Cooled Fuel Pump
Does anyone do a rebuild kit for one? It's for a 2ltr CU engine. There's only a trickle coming out at the moment. I'm gonna change the fuel lines at the weekend and hopefully that'll do the trick, but just in case it's the pump, does anybody do one?

The fuel filter I did about a year ago. Doesn't look too silted up but I'll be doing it this weekend when I do the fuel pipe. I changed the rubber filler neck that mounts behind the petrol cap a couple of weeks ago as the other had split, and when I did it I had a good look at the top of the tank through the wheel arch with a strong torch, and gave it a bit of a knocking with my knuckles and it seemed solid, no surface rust at all. I think it must have been changed at some point before I bought it as all the horror stories I read on here would suggest that by now - it's a 1981 Westy - it should resemble a well used tea bag on the top. It also has the fuel return connector on the near side of the tank but blocked off, unless they had them on all the early tanks for the Americans with their crazy need for fuel injection on their Vanagons? And all the breather pipes on the top seemed sound too, not cracked or rotten. I 'll give it another going over though this weekend when I do the pipe.
